Msgr. Marko Kovač
He grew up in Trešnjevka. He attended elementary school from 1987 to 1995, and then continued his education at the Archdiocesan Classical Gymnasium in Zagreb as an external student (1995 - 1999), where he passed his matura in 1999. In the same year, he entered the Archdiocesan Theological Seminary and began studying philosophy and theology at the Catholic Faculty of Theology of the University of Zagreb.
After two years of study, in 2001, he was sent to Rome, where he continued his formation at the Pontifical Gregorian University, staying in the Germanicum et Hungaricum College. He received his baccalaureate on June 24, 2004, and then returned to Croatia. He was ordained a deacon on June 18, 2005, and a priest on June 17, 2006.
He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Zagreb on November 17, 2025 by Pope Leo XIV, and consecrated a bishop on January 31, 2026 by Archbishop of Zagreb msgr. Dražen Kutleša.

- 2005 - 2006: Deacon in the Parish of St. Nicholas Tavelić in Zagreb - Kustošija; Associate in the Secretariat for the Preparation of the Synod of the Archdiocese of Zagreb;
- 2006 - 2010: Parish Vicar in the Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows, Zagreb - Špansko;
- 2010 - 2011: Parish Vicar of the Parish of the Ascension of the Lord, Zagreb - Sloboština;
- 2011 - 2012: Parish Vicar of the Parish of St. Peter in Zagreb;
- 2012 - 2015: Postgraduate studies in Canon Law at the Faculty of St. Pius X in Venice;
- 2015 - 2017: Moderator of the Archdiocesan Curia;
- 2015 - 2022: Pastoral Associate at the Parish of St. Jerome in Zagreb - Maksimir;
- since 2017: Episcopal Vicar for Pastoral Care;
- 2020: Interim Administrator of the Parish of St. Barbara in Zagreb - Vrapče;
- since 2021: Chancellor of the Archdiocesan Curia;
- 2022 - 2023: Interim Administrator of the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zagreb - Malešnica-Oranice;
- 2023 - 2025: Pastoral Associate at the Parish of the Holy Family in Zagreb.
