
Msgr. Vlado Razum was born on November 19, 1960 in Samobor. He was baptized on December 4 of the same year in his native Parish of St. Martin the Bishop in Sveti Martin pod Okićem, where he received the sacrament of Holy Confirmation on July 23, 1972.
After completing elementary school, he attended high school in Zagreb, and then the Faculty of Geodesy, from which he graduated in 1986. During this period, his decision to embark on the priestly path matured, and he entered the Archdiocesan Theological Seminary in Zagreb and began studying philosophy and theology at the Catholic Faculty of Theology, University of Zagreb, from which he graduated in 1992. He was ordained a deacon on October 11, 1992, and a priest on June 27, 1993.
He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Zagreb on November 17, 2025, by Pope Leo XIV, and consecrated a bishop on January 31, 2026, by the Archbishop of Zagreb msgr. Dražen Kutleša.
Services and duties he held:
- 1992 - 1993: deacon in the Parish of St. Peter in Zagreb;
- 1993 - 1997: parish vicar in the Parish of St. Peter in Zagreb;
- 1997 - 1998: administrator of the new Parish of St. Nicholas Bishop in Zagreb-Stenjevec;
- 1998 - 2007: Vice-Rector and Educator at the Archdiocesan Theological Seminary, responsible for the pastoral care of spiritual vocations and Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies for the Archdiocese of Zagreb from 1998 to 2002;
- 2007 - 2013: Parish Priest of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Velika Gorica;
- 2013 - 2021: Spiritual Director at the Archdiocesan Theological Seminary in Zagreb;
- 2021 - 2024: Rector of the Corpus Domini Chapel in Zagreb and External Spiritual Director of the Archdiocesan Theological Seminary;
- from 2024: Rector of the Archdiocesan Theological Seminary in Zagreb.
